Win for Unite and local community campaigns after the board and Trust Development Authority decide to stop the procurement process and keep the hospital in the NHS.

George Eliot Hospital was at risk of a private sector takeover. The odds were stacked against the hospital remaining in the NHS with two private healthcare companies - Care UK and Circle - and one NHS trust in the race to takeover the hospital. 

The campaign to keep the private sector out of 'the George' shows what communities can do when they come together to defend the NHS. They did it Lewisham and now we've done it in Nuneaton.
